Abstract
A reef built of inert HDPE pipe & assembled towed and anchored locates just beyond the wave zone made to direct, focus and amplify wave energy further offshore. This reduces erosive energy on the shore. Designed to protect a sand beach and encourage new sand on any beach.
The patented engineered reef also serves to enhance the quality of the waves for surfing, to earn stakeholder support. The “all pipe” reef has extreme longevity to become the skeleton of a natural reef to expand the habitat for all marine life. The pipe construction will serve as a shuttle to become a structural platform to locate a colony or array of wave energy collectors.
The all pipe body has abundant plumbing to send pressurized water ashore from advanced collectors to convert the blue wave energy into sustainable usable blue-green energy.
